Baseball Team Takes Second at Builders Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, VA-- The Bloomsburg University baseball team finished second at the Builders Invitational after falling to Kutztown by a score of 12-4 on Sunday night.

The Huskies outhit the Golden Bears 9-7, but Bloomsburg surrendered 13 walks in the game in falling to their PSAC East-rivals for the second straight day.

Nick Ferdinand (Bensalem/Archbishop Ryan) led the Huskies by going 2-4 with an RBI, while Kevin Ward (Upper Darby/Monsignor Bonner) went 2-5 and Carlos Medina (Lititz/Manheim Twp) 2-4.

Bloomsburg, 2-3, will play at Newberry (SC) on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
